So it has officially been 1 year since The Culinary Library food blog began and you will not be shocked to know that we (Prue & Di) are both still as passionate about food as ever and have so much more to share with you!! Murray River Pink Salt

For a finishing salt, our favourite is the Australian soft peach-pink flaked salt from the Murray River. It is extracted from underground ancient brines containing sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron and carotene secreted by algae which results in its colour which varies from pink to light apricot. This subterranean brine is truly unique, a true dinosaur age relic, producing a large flaked, deliciously mild, melt on the tongue hollow-stepped-tetragonal-pyramid salt crystal. With multiple local Australian Awards and two International awards to prove it it is world class. We use it on most meals as our table salt and you can’t have Smashed Potatoes without it! You seem to be able to get this wonderful salt in most groceries and specialty shops, check out their full range and distributors at their website.

We love these cute wooden hand painted brooches and necklaces by husband and wife duo Kirsty and Josh at So Little Time. They hand paint each one so they are all unique and cut them from locally sourced wood. Barambah Organics Vanilla Bean Yoghurt

This is one of my all time favourite yohurts from Barambah Organics. If you haven’t tried their products yet then you are missing out! They have won many awards at royal shows, dairy awards and cheese fairs in Australia and overseas. They have a range of interesting flavours in their yoghurt range and use all natural flavours and real fruit and I particularly like them because they are not too sweet like some yoghurt can be. My perfect breakfast is some delicious Barambah Yoghurt with juicy strawberries and a sprinkling of muesli. I buy my Barambah Yoghurt from the Organic Store in Northcote for those in VIC and I believe you can get it at the Norwood Foodland or Wild Thyme in SA, check out their website for other stockists.

Swiden Fruit Salad Chopping Boards
